I shall start with my name, I'm Shima and i'm an april child. i was born on the year 1992, and that's why i am on the year of the monkey(chinese zodiac), that might be the reason why i find monkeys extremely adorable, :). My ethnicity is pretty complicated, i believe so because i was born and raised up in the sunny island of Singapore, but my ethnicity is nepalese. Whenever human beings ask me about "what i am"? I get stuck between nepalese and singaporean. Because my true ethnic is nepalese, but since my childhood was spent in singapore,i feel the need to somehow mention it. I guess im both. We are all just mere human beings in my view.
I came to new york at an early age, i was just about to be twelve years old. Since Singapore is a multi- racial nation, we all had to connect through english, so english has always been somehow my first language,although i do speak my native language as well. Singapore was filled with my most precious memories, and i shall never forget it. I believe that every human being on earth that has to go through an extreme change , feels that experiance to be difficult, the same goes for me. My transition from Singapore's society to New York's society was one that i had to battle for a while, however i believe that ive somehow learned to grow out of it. Through both the positivity and negativity. After all, all human beings want is happiness, i believe.
By the way, i am an avid writer, whether its enjoyable or not, i just feel the need to write sometimes. I think im almost ending up my "essay", i have to mention high school, it was all the way to lower east side, it took me an hour to go every single morning for four years, i shall say that my high school was moderately alright. And i guess im finished for now.
